This is a great saddle for the price, even one upper level professional I know rides in this saddle. The easy change gullet system is not terribly easy to change, (takes me half an hour of fumbling and swearing) but it sure beats buying a new saddle. The suede-like surface is very grippy to keep you secure in the saddle. I have owned both the Wintec Pro and Isabell dressage models, and finally settle on the Isabell. Here's the differences: The pro has a flatter seat than the Isabell. I decided I liked the deeper seat, but everyone is different. The stirrup bars on the pro are in a more normal position as opposed to the Isabell in which they are positioned farther back than most saddles. I have trouble keeping my legs back underneath me, so the Isabell put me in a better position. If your legs tend to slide back, you would not like the Isabell and would prefer the pro. The pro has more of a traditional feel. The pro and the Isabell have different trees, so they fit the horse differently. Saddle fit is about more than changing the gullet plate. My horse definately prefers the Isabell. The pro was making his back sore. Both Wintec saddles are the best you will get for under $1500 in a dressage saddle. Unless you have the big bucks to spend on something like a Trilogy or similar, I'd recommend either the Wintec Pro or the Wintec Isabell.

This is a really nice saddle for the price. I have done dressage (duh) and even a little jumping in this saddle. I have ridden Gypsy Vanners, Friesians, and a quarter pony in this. Overall, a good choice for those that don't want to pay tons for a saddle.

I bought this saddle with the CAIR panels and all gullets to use with my young horse as long as possible while he continues to mature. It has worked very well for us and I am extremely pleased with it. Easy to care for, the Equisuede offers great grip for those "unscheduled maneuvers" that can occur with any horse. Best of all, my horse finds it light (only 13 lbs.) and comfortable and it is not bouncy, as I had feared because of the air panels. I use high quality pads (Horse Dream sheepskin and ThinLine) with it. We are on the widest gullet now and I hope Wintec considers making an Xtra Wide Dressage saddle as they have done with the All Purpose.
